High Voltage Test Systems : High Voltage AC &
DC Testers: These instruments are used to test a wide range of
products including bushings, bus bars, cables, connectors, circuit
breakers, insulators, etc. The test applies a high voltage to
unit under test (above insulating voltage level) and measuring
the leakage current. This helps to determine the units ability
to withstand over voltages including surges, lightning strikes.
Tests can be conducted to as high as 160KV.
Transformer Test Equipment : Featuring a complete
range of transformer test systems from the popular three phase
transformer turns ratio test set to high voltage single and three
phase power transformer for distribution and transmission.
Relay Test Equipment : Electrical installations/users
need to test a wide range of relays from electromechanical, solid
state, microprocessor based protective relays, small moulded case
circuit breakers, motor overload relays and similar protective
devices. This can be done effectively by tests like reach, maximum
angle of torque, directional balance points and closing angles
besides breaker contact simulation providing easy testing of reclosing
type relays. PULSAR, having a modular plug in design, can be used
to test ac/dc relays with higher sensitivity and accuracy and
in steady state, dynamic or transient states. The operator can
also use a PC to create user defined waveforms for special test
applications.
Cable Fault Locators: Cable fault location requires
power as well as low voltage cables to be tested from time to
time as part of maintenance as well as commissioning. Using techniques
like Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR), Digital Arc Reflection and
Surge Pulse Reflection, these systems can be portable or mounted
in a van to test underground residential distribution (URD) systems.
Capable to deliver 1500 Joules at 16KV, one can isolate a fault
between transformers or breakdown faults in cables, joints and
terminations.
Battery Test Equipment: Electrical Power generation
plants, substations, telecom facilities, UPS systems, aircraft
power supplies require their battery banks to be tested for sulfating,
post seal corrosion, poor intra-cell and inter-cell connections.
This information helps operator decide cell replacement criteria
based on impedance trends. These BITE testers measure the impedance
and DC voltage values for all lead acid and nickel cadmium cells
of less than 2500 Ah capacity. These testers require no battery
discharging.
Capacitance and Tan delta Test Sets: Capacitance
and Tan delta are used to give the condition of insulation in
circuit breakers and power transformers. Periodic readings on
high voltage electrical equipment can be used for trending-would
help to detect problems before insulation breakdown happens. The
models feature interference suppression when testing in HV switchyards
as well as direct readout of C, tan D, and watts dissipated.
Partial Discharge test systems: Partial discharge
measurement has become the most popular means of assessing the
degree of aging in motor and generator stator winding insulation.
Systems consist of a PD detector, voltage source, detection coupler,
calibration signal generator, coupler, with associated cables
and cords. Systems meet all requirements of IEC270 rev. 2000.
Current Injection Test Sets: Primary current injection
test sets are used for the complete testing of relay protection
systems consisting of isolated HV conductor, current transformer,
protection relay and circuit breaker. Primary current testing
is usually done at time of commissioning or at the time of breakdown
stoppage.
Secondary current testing involves testing of the
relays, overload coils, circuit breakers while in service to ensure
correct operation if a fault should occur and also to prevent
possible damage to plant equipment and personnel.
Motor Test Systems: From the basic core loss testers
(for testing a motors damaged core iron resulting in shorts between
laminations or arcing) to complex motor test systems measuring
temperature, vibration, wattage consumed etc. Predictive maintenance
of rotating machines can be carried out to detect deterioration
of insulation in LV and HV alternators, generators and motors.
Under this program a user can identify power circuit problems
that degrade motor health, overall motor power conditions, monitor
load and estimates energy savings through motor performance.
Motor repair equipment :: With wire bending machines
which allow the instant selection of the bend angle and the sequence
of bends without the need to use any form of spanner. Up to 6
different bends can be made in sequences without resetting - this
allows quite complex wire forms to be produced without the need
to bend parts in batches, one angle at the time. Also available
are a variety of hand tools for motor repairs.
